Pilea care at a glance
- Native habitat: Warm, subtropical forests of southern China.
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Some gentle morning sun is fine, but avoid harsh afternoon sun.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to average indoor conditions.
- Water: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of substrate to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly and let the excess drain.
- Toxicity: Non-toxic to pets and humans.
- Substrate: An airy, well-draining substrate. My Everyday Mix works awesome.
- Temperature: 65 to 80°F.
