Ficus care at a glance
- Native habitat: Tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australia.
- Light: Bright, indirect light. Tolerates some gentle morning sun.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but adjusts to ambient conditions over time.
- Water: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of substrate to dry before watering again. Water thoroughly and let the excess drain.
- Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
- Substrate: An airy, well-draining substrate. My Chunky Mix works well for Ficus.
- Temperature: 60 to 80°F for the best growth.
